Shamanic Courses & Practitioner Training
At Shamanic Quest, we offer a progressive journey of shamanic learning, personal discovery, and spiritual development. Our four-year training pathway takes you from establishing your foundations and deepening your spiritual connections, through to supervised practitioner training and advanced exploration. Whether you wish to develop your personal shamanic practice or become a professional practitioner, each year builds upon the last, allowing your knowledge, experience, and understanding to grow naturally. Students enroll one year at a time, so you can begin with the Foundation course and discover where your journey leads.
Year One - Foundation in Shamanic Practices
The Foundation Course is an immersive year of personal discovery, spiritual exploration and practical learning. Throughout the year, students develop and deepen their connections with the natural world, their helping spirits and the spiritual dimensions explored through shamanic practice.
Through experiential learning, guided journeying and ceremony, students are introduced to the fundamental principles and techniques of shamanism, including practices such as soul retrieval and extraction.
Whether you are beginning your journey for personal growth or professional development, the Foundation Course provides the essential groundwork for the years ahead.
Year Two - Deepening Connections: Runic Shamanism
Year Two offers an opportunity to deepen the spiritual connections and understanding established during the Foundation Course.
Through the exploration of Runic Shamanism, students develop relationships with the runes as living spiritual energies, discovering their wisdom and learning to work with them for divination, guidance and deeper spiritual understanding.
The runes provide a rich and profound pathway for personal exploration, helping students expand their awareness, strengthen their intuition and develop greater confidence in their shamanic practice.
Throughout Year Two, students are encouraged to maintain and develop the shamanic practices established during their Foundation year through independent practice and personal exploration.
Runic Shamanism is a profound discipline in its own right, offering new dimensions of spiritual understanding, connection and personal development.
Year Three - Integrating Shamanic Practice & Practitioner Developement
Year Three brings together the knowledge, experiences and spiritual connections developed throughout the first two years of training.
Students revisit and deepen their understanding of the shamanic techniques introduced during the Foundation Course, integrating these with the wisdom and spiritual relationships developed through Runic Shamanism.
Through practical experience, guided learning and personal reflection, students develop greater confidence in their abilities and a deeper understanding of how shamanic practices can support others.
An important part of this year is supervised practice, where students gain experience working with others while developing their understanding of ethical responsibilities, professional boundaries and reflective practice.
Whether continuing for personal spiritual development or working towards becoming a professional shamanic practitioner, Year Three provides an opportunity to consolidate learning, deepen spiritual connections and develop the confidence to put these skills into practice.
Students who successfully complete the required training, practical competencies and assessments may qualify as professional shamanic practitioners.
Year Four – Advanced Shamanic Practice: Integration & Transformation
Year Four offers an opportunity to deepen and expand the spiritual understanding, connections and experiences developed throughout the previous three years.
Building upon their established foundations, students explore advanced shamanic practices and new dimensions of spiritual awareness through experiential learning, journeying and ceremony.
Practices such as vision quests, Star Maiden circles and remote viewing offer opportunities for profound personal exploration, encouraging students to move beyond familiar boundaries and deepen their relationships with the spiritual worlds.
An important focus of this year is integration. Students are encouraged to reflect upon their experiences, recognise the connections between different aspects of their learning and develop a deeper understanding of their own spiritual journey.
Through continued exploration, shared experiences and personal reflection, students develop greater confidence in their spiritual relationships, intuition and individual approach to shamanic practice.
Year Four represents a further stage of personal and spiritual development, providing the space for students to bring together the wisdom, knowledge and experiences of their training in ways that are meaningful to their own lives and, where appropriate, their work with others.
